Sleep

Research shows that adults who get less than 7-8 hours of quality sleep every night perform significantly poorer on mental tasks. Getting enough sleep allows us to face challenges with a positive frame of mind and get the most out of every day.

Laugh

There’s no better feeling than a good old belly laugh, but laughter has far more health benefits than you may have thought! Laughter decreases stress hormones and boosts the immune system. It releases endorphins, protects the heart and relaxes the whole body.

Listen

Having meaningful relationships and giving time to others makes us feel better about ourselves. Sometimes we get caught up in other aspects of life and forget that those around us may need somebody to talk to. Take a step back and really listen, you are not only making yourself happier but you are helping someone else too!

Drink Water

Water is an amazing thing! All of our organs rely on water to work properly, and without sufficient water they have to work harder to do their job. Drinking 8 glasses of water every day is the simplest way to reduce sluggishness and give you more energy. Best of all, it’s free!

Chillax

Don’t sweat the small stuff. It’s easy to get bogged down with unimportant things, so live in the present and celebrate the good things in life.  Practicing ‘mindfulness’ can be a great way to help you switch off from any unhelpful thoughts or worries and tune in to the present moment.
