Shiralee’s interest in Allied Health stems from an interest in sports injury rehabilitation having endured numerous injuries through sport.
While studying to be an Allied Health Assistant (Physiotherapy), Shiralee realised physiotherapy refers to more than sports injury rehabilitation, and gained a more in-depth understanding that being an Allied Health Assistant was a real opportunity to make a difference in people’s lives and a way to help improve their quality of life.
As an Allied Health Assistant, Shiralee is inspired by her client’s determination to always push themselves even on days where they state they could be feeling better.
Away from work Shiralee is a volunteer St Johns Event Ambulance Officer, and enjoys daily ice baths, playing netball, as well as camping, fishing, and boating activities with her family. Shiralee also enjoys playing chess, scrabble and watching quiz shows with her children.
