At Life Ready Warwick, we offer individualised sessions and classes in Clinical Pilates in order to help you reach your rehabilitation goals. Whether you’re recovering from an injury or want to increase your strength and mobility, our physiotherapists thoughtfully design Pilates-inspired exercise programs with your specific needs and abilities in mind.
Pilates is an exercise method that emphasises balance, strength, flexibility, posture, core stability, and breathing. Our Warwick physiotherapists use Clinical Pilates to treat many conditions, including neck and back injuries. Clinical Pilates can also reduce symptoms from other conditions, such as Parkinson’s disease.
The first step in your Clinical Pilates treatment is for your physiotherapist to assess your injury record and your fitness level. From your baseline to your goals, they will create a program custom-designed for your needs.
Your program will follow the six principles of Pilates:
Pilates exercises are ideal for gym rehabilitation. Unlike some exercises that use jerking actions, Pilates uses controlled and flowing movements. With Pilates movements performed correctly, you’ll avoid injury. You’ll focus on controlled and precise movements instead of seeing how far you can push yourself. This leads to strengthening of the under-used parts of your muscles that provide additional stabilisation.
Unlike other Warwick Pilates classes, a physiotherapist leads your sessions at our clinic. Your physiotherapist designs routines for your specific needs. Whether you’re working to relieve chronic pain or to reduce post-stroke symptoms, we have a routine for you.

How does clinical Pilates work for you? Well, clinical Pilates helps with:
Clinical Pilates can help with a variety of medical issues because it uses the body’s natural healing system. The exercises associated with Pilates stimulate this system, and the mindful and controlled approach to these movements helps avoid injury.
Pilates can help with injury recovery by strengthening muscles around affected joints and providing increased stability. This can help prevent further injury and allow your body time to recover. The low-impact, gentle Pilates motions can also reduce the chances of injury during the exercises.
Other benefits our Warwick Pilates instructors provide include:
Our Warwick clinical Pilates physiotherapists will help you with the specific movements needed to get the most out of your clinical Pilates treatments. These movements are one way Life Ready gets you moving toward your best possible quality of life.
